If I remember right, I had the same problem and did a dir/s bootrec.exe to find out where the file was, then cd’d, to that directory and ran it from there.

I get the message “‘Bootrec.exe’ is not recognized as an internal or external command” Am I doing something wrong? I am not sure that Windows 7 HAS Dos exactly…
