This would be particularly useful after the schedule is created, not only for participants to make customized lists of what they'd like to attend, but also for various talks to use as a data source that is interesting to the audience. From there it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine an informal competition to create scheduling apps that suggest optimal partitioning and constraint satisfaction.
